Counting raccoons

Keeping this diary for ten odd days, I suddenly become anxious about how long I can do this. I mean how long it is before running out of topics. I'm just curious. Daily update amounts to 365 articles a year. That's an enormous number. A book of as many pages would be something.
If I had not begun this blog I would never ever write this amount of English in my life... OK. This is "counting raccoon's skin before they are caught." English has similar proverbs. Don't count your chickens before they hatch. Or, First catch your hare and then cook it. I have no idea why they should be raccoon chicken or hare (of all things!) but the way people think seems alike whether in the east or west.
This picture is taken in a park in Zurich. In the morning light, this woman looked serene and pure, oblivious to the world.
