A friend of mine

Yesterday my son asked me how to use a computer language C++ on his computer. I didn't know. So I just answered "Ok, I'll tell it to you later." I went to my room and boot up my computer and started writing an email. It was to my friend. "Would you tell me how to practice C++ on Mac?" One hour later the answer came with a detailed explanation about how to load the basic software, what to check, and how to run the software. I just follow his instruction and without any problem at all, I got to be able to use it. I called my son and told him exactly what I was instructed. Thus I barely saved my face as a scientist father.
My friend is just amazing. He is teaching at college. I owe a lot to him. I can use 5 computers at home which are wirelessly connected, owing to him. He instructed me how to set them up over the phone. It may sound easy but actually giving instruction of this kind just by hearing what my computer environment is and finding out its problem is next to impossible to those people like me who would like to stay away from protocols of anything whether it be filing tax return or computer setup. I learned from him a lot about camera. I learned how to ski. He knows almost everything, that at a professional level. But what's really great about him is he spares no time and labor to share it with me. I am lucky to have him as a friend. He is quite inspiring. How much teaching and being taught, mostly taught in my case, makes our lives rich and colorful!
