Pride

Abe quit. Fukuda quit. What's become of this country?
Another something is wrong. His reason for resignation was funny. He said he thought a new leader would be better able to handle the political deadlock caused by the opposition ruled Upper House. Isn't this what he had known when he took over the highest political position in Japan? Perhaps he would say he found it more difficult than he had expected. He couldn't realize the real difficulty until he worked as prime minister. I can understand it if he is a highschool student and happens to win the election for the president of school council(生徒会長).
He can't escape blame for being irresponsible. If he couldn't deal with this "distorted diet" why he thinks somebody else can better handle. Yet still he didn't mention about his lack of leadership or political qualification. Maybe he is too proud to admit it. But I think that pride was his biggest weak point. Pride always prevents us from our free thought, conduct or decision. In short he could not break out his shell.
Let his case be a lesson to us.なんちゃって^^
