Mosquito sound

Woke up at 4:00. Mosquito buzz... Flying around over my head. It came and went near and far for some time and then went away. Just as I was falling back to sleep, it came back again. Mosquitoes in autumn are quite aggressive and bold. They are desperate to suck our blood enough to leave their descendants. I felt it land on my face in the dark, and slapped blindly where I thought it touched. Bingo. I crushed it.
The annoying sound of mosquitoes is said to be about 500 Hz. This is a little lower than the last sound of NHK time signal on the radio or TV. When we hear high pitch sound we seem to hear it as a sound of mosquitos even if the sound is in 10 times higher pitch.
I heard that some young people use a high-pitch sound as ring alert of their cell-phone. They seem to call it "mosquito sound ring alert". The frequency is set around 14 kHz which is too high to be heard by adults. So if it rings or beeps in a crowded train, it can be heard only by its owner and young people nearby, not by old crocks.
When I heard this, I wanted to check out the possibility of ring alerts sounding furtively on my back in a train.

Here you can hear sounds of various pitch. I am very much disappointed. I can only hear the last sound at 8kHz. My wife 10kHz and daughter 12kHz. Obviously in the order of the age. Maybe young kids in a train have been smiling a complacent smile on my back.
Try it and let me know from which pitch you can hear so that I get to know your age.
