Life goes on

North Korea tested a nuclear bomb yesterday. Come to think about it, this April, it launched a rocket which flew over Japan to somewhere no one knows. Although the communist country insisted that it was a communication satellite, it can be interpreted as a test launch for a ballistic missile. The only difference between the ballistic missile and artificial satellite is its payload. If it carries war head, it becomes a ballistic missile. When we associate the rocket with the test of an atomic bomb, it is not hard for us to imagine the worst scenario.
Why are they doing such a thing in this small, poor country? This is a part of its pet international political technique called "brinksmanship", through which it creates and maneuver a dangerous situation to the limit of its safety to secure the biggest profit. We can call it simply bluff. The country's ruling dynasty is rotten. They cannot keep their regime without showing bluff after bluff inward and outward. This demonstration of power is to blind and distract people from their harsh reality. The country needs to force people to worship their leader, dictator Kim Jong Il to maintain itself. But what it wants to last is not a country for the people but the ruling aristocrats and military. Always they are pushing to its people the same idea that is supposed to brainwash the people. The people pretend to obey it. But they are not stupid as the government assumes. The regime will fall sooner or later. It must. Or rather, it has been almost a miracle in a sense that this kind of childish idea and trick has lasted such a long time.
No matter how bad the regime may be, the people cannot afford to waste their lives. They need to live their meaningful lives even by pretending to obey the illogical power. They need to eat, have children, raise them, work, sometimes laugh, get entertained...Their lives go on whatever the regime is. That's where our problem lies. How much of our situation we must accept and how much of it we must resist and change? While thinking this, our lives go on swallowing all of the affairs and ideas...
