About jogging

Scorching hot days! I hope you all are somehow getting by^^.
Because of this heat I have been neglecting my jogging routine recently. Yesterday for the first time in the week, I ran 4 km at night when I thought the temperature was cool enough. Usually in summer a slight wind blows from the south. When I start running down my jogging course, I go against the wind. It makes me feel refreshed and forget about the heat for some time. But when I turn around the course to run back home, the wind changes to a follow and, to make the matter worse, it was canceled out by my running speed. So I can feel almost no wind. You know, as you run longer, you feel hot already, but if the wind stops when you feel hot it becomes almost unbearable.
I remembered how Liz, only occasionally, followed me running when I left my house for jogging. She ran down the slope just behind me for one block and gave up the chase. She meowed then as if to say "don't go away". In the cases like this, I can count on her waiting for me somewhere near my house when I came home... well, sorry for getting sentimental^^
Yesterday in my English class one of my students made a presentation about Tokyo City Marathon. In the course of the things, the students somehow decided to register application for the City Marathon next year. Last year my wife and I failed the lottery. But next year I hope I can run the marathon with my students. So I must keep up my jogging practice.
