Being Japanese

Bought an electric fan. Plated with copper, it looks cool for the last one left unsold in Daiei. The blades remind me of an industrial cooling fan. All the fans were sold out in the two appliance shops I visited before Daiei.
The energy crisis in the aftermath of the disastrous Fukushima accident brought about energy conscious mentality in ourselves. Our government told the industry and public places to set air conditioner temperature at 28 Celsius. The public voluntarily followed this instruction. That's why the fan shortage.
It's good everyone is caring about energy saving. But it must be a Japanese national character to move in a same direction all at once, good or evil, whenever a problem arises. Yes, sure, I am a member of the Japanese society.
