The Miracle

A crazy scientist once calculated how much it would cost if you bought all the constituents that makes up your body in the form of chemicals at a pharmacy. The answer is \ 100,000,000. While it may make you feel a little better, if you bought all the chemicals at a chemical supplier and put them all in a flask, concoct it for ten minutes, it would be highly unlikely a man crawls out from it.
What it means is we are not a simple addition of substances. There must be something that orchestrates them to organize us.
What is it that makes us us? What is it that makes me think? What is it that keeps me "alive"? We forget. Or we can't see it because we are "It" itself? Is it what people call God?
At any rate we should at least savor and appreciate the miracle.
Trillions and trillions of atoms somehow gathered to create us. Being us is not much gratifying experience at the atomic level. For all their devotion, our atoms don't actually care about us and never know that they are there. They are mindless particles after all, and not even themselves alive...Yet... when they happen to come together they work together to keep us us.
Very regrettably however, when the day comes they quit to be us. They silently leave us to put us in a new state called "death". Atoms never changes. But something has obviously changed. Then what is this "something"?
To be enlightened at this "something" may be what we have to achieve at the "cost" of our lives, hopefully more than \100,000,000. We are too ignorant about it.
Organ transplantation might not be a bad idea but if we think of our body as just an assembly of each organs and think all too easy to replace it as we replace a wrong part in a computer, we are missing out on very very fatally important thing.
We may have to appreciate this miracle more. If you think you appreciate it already, just appreciate it more. The probability of your miracle is almost zero. You will never ever again win this lottery^^
