After the spree

Iceland \890 => \310
Norway \805 => \480
England \469 => \300
USA \400 => \320
Australia \345 => \240
Japan \280 => \280
These are Big Mac Indexes after the subprime loan crash. I calculated them assuming the prices of BigMac remain the same in their respective currency and using their currency exchange rates to Japanese yen as of 3 days ago.
As you can see most of the values in yen are around \300 except Norway. Compare these with the previous prices that were pretty much scattered. It is very interesting to me because it may show how the people of the country with high BigMac index were carried away with the bubble economy. Values of things had been only imaginary like a dream of a night. When they woke up they just found themselves in the reality.
Values are more or less the same thing as long as people determine them. Louis Vuitton bags are expensive. Why? Think about it. Especially when we get rich, we become at a loss about what is really valueable.
