Eel

After an enjoyable dinner of a delectable うな重(a bowl of teriyaki eel on rice) that came with modestly sweetened sauce on it at 寿平, a cozy, old eel restaurant, we were strolling back to our home in that perfect temperature of the spring night. It is an annual event of this season that Mother treats us to the eel dinner spending what little money she gets back as the reimbursement of her overpaid tax.
Ahead of me rambling was my mother with her grand daughter side by side, firmly holding on to her right arm and her head slightly cocking left toward the young slender Fraulein. I followed them talking pleasant nonsense with my brother in law.
