A break

It's like autumn... 19C. Fine. No wind. Crisp air.
Masses of puffy, white clouds floating here and there in the blue sky. Cumulus. They call it.
The typhoon is gone. A brief break in the spell of sweltering days. Hope this will last for any length of time.

Here are three instruments. On your left is the power meter of solar panels. In the middle is a humidity / temperature meter that is wirelessly connected to a sensor placed outside the house. The other one on your right is for inside temperature / humidity.
As I observe temperatures I cannot help thinking how unreliable our feeling is. When I come home in the heat, 27C is very hot. But staying there for a while it feels alright.
Which is right, the instrument or my feeling? Scientific correctness is sometimes of no use for us. Our feelings are more important than just a figure. But our patience might be even more important.
My father always cared about a thermometer and decided what to wear before going out. But once in a while he complained he had dressed wrongly, or blamed the thermometer for telling him a temperature that didn't suit his clothings. Of course the meter was not responsible. That's always neutral and showed exactly what it sensed. But how easily we fall into a slave to machines. Still, I love to observe these cute gismos.
