Think about it.

My deceased father used to always tell his children never mix up freedom with indulgence. But again where should we draw a line between them? I am not sure whether he knew it himself. I never asked him. Perhaps it's different from one person to another. Even a individual person redraws the line many times according to his / her convenience or mood. There seemed to me no answer to the question.
Laws and rules of the society seem like trying to define limits within which we are allowed to play around. Sometimes the limitation is moral or ethics---another form of rules. All these are no different in the sense that they were decided by someone else but you. Is there not a freedom that is not defined by others? As long as we think of "freedom" as "the freedom of our desire" we are not free. We are not free because we are a slave of our desire. The answer may be somewhere around this. Think about it.
