3号機からの白煙は

問題の原子炉3号機に放水車を総動員して今さかんに水をかけているが、
これは意味がないのかもしれない！
本日、問題の原子炉４機のプールに保管されたの使用済み燃料の発熱量が
発表になった。
今一番問題とされる3号機の発熱量は20万Kcal/hrだという。プールの水量は
1200トン程度。とすると蒸発にかかる時間は158日。つまり半年くらいしな
いと水が空にはならないのだ。
しかし事故が起こってから白煙発生まで、まだ5日しか経っていな
かった。
たった5日で失われるなら何か重大な間違いを誰かがしているのか？
あるいは地震によりもともとプール内の水が著しく減少してしまったのか。
しかしプール周りの設計を考えると水は容易には失われない。一度地震の
揺れでプール内から外に出ても再びプール内に戻るようになっているはず
だからだ。発熱量が一桁違っていたとしても15.8日だ。
4号機の使用済み燃料の発熱がちょうど一桁大きいから発表が間違った可能
性はあるかもしれない。ただそれでもまだ3倍計算が合わない。
しかしもし発表の発熱量の値が正しいのなら、プールの水はまだまだなみ
なみと燃料を覆っているはずなのだが。3号機の白煙は皆が言うように本当
に燃料プールから生じているものなのだろうか？格納容器からの水蒸気で
はないか？　とすれば、今水をかけているのはとんだ茶番だ。しかも対策も
まったく異なるだろう。
使用済み燃料の発熱量が一桁大きい200万Kcal/hrの4号機プールにもまだ
水が残っていることが確認されたのだから、20万の3号機に残っていない
わけがないのだ。不思議なのは誰もこの点を指摘していないことだ。

新聞社に電話したが、どこも今日はつながらなかった。気になって仕方がない。

The heat generation of used fuel contained in a cooling pool housed in the 3rd reactor building was reported today. The time it takes for the 1200tons of water filling the pool to evaporate by the generated heat of 200,000kcal/hr is calculated as 158days. The fact is the steam was found released only 5 days after the great earthquake.
This is further supported by the fact that the cooling pool for the used fuel in the 4th reactor, which generates 10times more heat than that of 3rd reactor, was found to still hold some water in it.
Nobody has pointed out this inconsistency. If the reported figure of heat release is correct, it is likely that the steam is comming from the crack of the reactor container. If they are trying to pour water onto the filled cooling pool it could be a great farce.
